Azerbaijan sees 45% growth in non-oil exports 

In January-March 2022, Azerbaijan’s total exports made up $8 billion, Report informs, citing the Center for Economic Reform Analysis and Communication.

In the reporting period, the non-oil exports amounted to $727.2 million, up $225.6 million or 45% from the previous year.

In the first quarter of 2022, the export value of fruits and vegetables increased by 28.5% to $124.9 million. During the same period, exports of chemical products increased by 10 times, aluminum and aluminum products by 63.9%, ferrous metals and their products by 48.7%, cotton yarn by 29.3%, and cotton fiber by 5.6%.

The total exports in March 2022 stood at $ 2 billion. The exports in the non-oil sector grew by 55.9% to $ 265.5 million. The exports of food products went up by 13.6% to $ 48.8 million during the month, while the exports of non-food products soared 70.1% to $ 216.7 million.
