More than 10,000 individuals have benefited from the free training, consulting, and mentorship services provided by Azerbaijan's SME Development Centers in 2024, said Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
Mammadov made the remark during the first International Caspian Innovation Forum held in Baku, organized by the Caspian Energy Club.
He emphasized that strengthening the workforce's skills and knowledge to help entrepreneurs and startups adapt to the new economic environment and effectively utilize modern technologies in their operations are among the priorities.
"The SME Development Centers, located in various cities and districts of Azerbaijan, offer free training, consulting, and mentorship services to those looking to start new businesses, as well as to existing startups and entrepreneurs," Mammadov stated. "In 2024, the number of beneficiaries of these services provided by the SME Development Centers has surpassed 10,000."
