Azerbaijan’s perfume imports from China soar

In January-May 2025, Azerbaijan imported 929.3 tons of perfumes and eau de toilette, valued at $17.94 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 39% and 18%, respectively, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

During the mentioned period, Azerbaijan purchased these products from:

- France: 57.84 tons (-5%) worth $5.96 million (-0.3%);

- The United Arab Emirates: 190 tons (+39%) worth $2.3 million (+45%);

- China: 355.4 tons (+2.4 times) worth $2 million (+2.4 times);

- Italy: 33 tons (+38%) worth $1.81 million (+27%);

- Spain: 27 tons (-7%) worth $1.42 million (-0.6%).

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported $36.6 million worth of perfumes, of which 39% Azerbaijan came from France, while 13% from the UAE.
