Azerbaijan's green economy transition to be bolstered by tax incentives

Azerbaijan is set to embrace the transition to a green economy through tax incentives in the medium term, said Samira Musayeva, Deputy Chief of the State Tax Service under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy, Report informs.

Musayeva revealed this at an event titled "Cooperation with business associations and entrepreneurs and its results."

"Taking into account that one of the country's 5 national priorities in the medium term is the transition to a green economy, we will provide tax incentives in parallel with the measures implemented by the Ministry of Economy. Starting this year, there are tax concessions for hybrid and electric vehicles. In addition, we have covered bus production, including electric buses, with tax incentives. This issue will be part of our tax policy in the medium term," he noted.
