From January through September 2022, Azerbaijan exported 86,737 tons of polyethylene (in primary form with a specific gravity of less than 0.94 / 0.94 or more) for $112.716 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, the polyethylene exports decreased by 7.8% in value and 16% in quantitative terms year-on-year.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 30,667 tons (+32%) of polyethylene to Turkiye for $36.898 million (+33.6%), 22,825 tons (-26%) to Russia for $36.671 million (-4.6%), 21,375 tons (-8.7%) to China for $22.456 million (-1%), 3,162 tons (-52.2%) to Lithuania for $4.634 million (- 50.5%), 2,583 tons (-66.5%) to Ukraine for $3.417 million (-64.2%).
After nine years and seven months, deliveries to the Netherlands resumed; 48 tons of polyethylene were exported to this country for $56,170.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 30,374 tons of polyethylene (in primary form with a specific gravity of less than 0.94 / 0.94 or more) for $43.544 million.
