In January-September 2024, Azerbaijan imported 605 tons of coconut oil worth $969,000, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
This is 3% less in value and 16% more in quantity compared to the same period in 2022.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported coconut oil from:
- Malaysia: 281 tons (+11.5%) worth $455,000 (-6%)
- Indonesia: 245 tons (+40%) worth $365,000 (+31%)
- Russia: 77 tons (-17%) worth $140,000 (-37%)
- Italy: 0.14 tons worth $2,780
- Türkiye: 0.13 tons (+8%) worth 1,840 (+43%)
Azerbaijan resumed imports from China (0.01 tons worth $10) after four years and five months, from the United Arab Emirates (0.02 tons worth $40) after three years and three months, and from Italy after one year and one month.
