Azerbaijan participated in the 82nd meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS member states, held in Kazakhstan.
Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, that the event took place today in the settlement of Burabay in Kazakhstan's Akmola Region, with Azerbaijan represented by a delegation led by committee chairman Shahin Baghirov.
The meeting discussed the implementation status of decisions adopted at the 81st meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS member states, as well as information technologies and software tools used in customs control processes between the customs services of CIS member states, promising digital solutions, and best practices in the use of inspection and screening systems.
As part of the event, the updated composition of the Working Group on Goods Classification Issues of the customs services of CIS member states was approved. The sides also exchanged views on various areas of customs affairs and identified a number of directions for further work.
