Azerbaijan records surge in air transportation in 1H2024

A total of 1,784,300 passengers were transported by air in Azerbaijan during the initial six months of 2024, marking a 44.7% rise year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

In addition, 197,500 tons of cargo were transported by air in the country for the first half of the current year, which is an increase of 16.6% from the same period of last year.

Of the total transportation, 99.9% was carried out by public air vehicles, and 0.1% by private air vehicles.
