Azerbaijan records 3-fold increase in notebook imports from Ukraine

Azerbaijan imported 915 tons of notebooks (made of paper and cardboard), valued at $1.41 million in the first six months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

Compared to the corresponding period of 2023, the imports grew by 8 percent in volume and rose by 2 percent in value.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 499 tons (+3%) of notebooks from China worth $614,000 (+1.2%), 351 tons (+19%) from Russia worth $608,000 (+3.2%), 55 tons (+3 times) from Ukraine worth $133,000 (+97%), 3.2 tons (+14%) from Türkiye worth $40,000 (+4 times), and 2.88 tons (-54%) from the UAE worth $5,300 (-58%).

Meanwhile, in 2023, Azerbaijan imported 2,126 tons of notebooks from 16 countries, of which 73.2% came from China.
