Azerbaijan-Qatar Joint Business Council established

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar have signed an Agreement on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Qatar Joint Business Council, Report informs.

According to the SMBDA, the document was signed in Qatar by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SMBDA Orkhan Mammadov and the member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber Ali Abdullatif Al-Misned.

The agreement is important in facilitating the establishment of economic and commercial partnerships and alliances between Qatari and Azerbaijani private sectors and exploring new cooperation areas for the benefit of both economies.

Azerbaijan-Qatar Joint Business Council aims to assist in setting up direct partnership links between business entities of both countries, including SMEs, assist in organizing visits, meetings, seminars, and round tables, participation of businesses in exhibitions and fairs held in both countries, and assist in exchanging and disseminating commercial, trade and economic information that could be helpful in economic relations between Qatar and Azerbaijan.
