Azerbaijan's minister of economy visiting Italy

Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has embarked on a working trip to Italy.

According to Report, Minister Jabbarov's itinerary included pivotal meetings with key Italian political figures, including Senator Giulio Terzi and Andrea Di Giuseppe, Chairman of the Committee on International Trade of the Foreign Affairs Commission. These encounters underscored the multifaceted nature of Azerbaijan-Italy relations, spanning trade, energy, transport, and beyond.

The discussions highlighted the untapped potential for trade partnership between the two countries. Minister Jabbarov emphasized the attractive investment climate in Azerbaijan, particularly spotlighting the Alat Free Economic Zone, industrial zones, and the newly liberated territories as prime opportunities for Italian businesses.

A significant portion of the visit was dedicated to exploring collaboration possibilities with Italy's Lazio region. In a meeting with Francesco Rocca, President of Lazio, both parties expressed enthusiasm for fostering joint activities in the private sector.

The delegation's engagement extended to the Italian business community, with presentations showcasing investment opportunities in both Azerbaijan and the Lazio region. Discussions centered around potential partnerships in industries such as green energy, transport-logistics, and agriculture.
