In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan exported sugar and related confectionery products, valued at $22.046 million, marking a 56.3% increase year-on-year, Report informs, referring to the country’s State Customs Committee.
Furthermore, Azerbaijan imported these products worth $116.951 million in January-June of this year, which is 7% more compared to the same period in 2024.
Sugar and related confectionery products accounted for 1.02% of Azerbaijan's total imports and 0.17% of total exports.
Overall, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with other countries worth $24.4 billion in the first six months of 2025, which is 12.1% more year-on-year.
Of that, $12.878 billion fell to exports and $11.522 billion fell to imports. During this period, exports increased by 0.2 percent, while imports grew by 29.9 percent.
