Azerbaijan more than doubles cheese imports from one of main supply markets

In January 2025, Azerbaijan imported 565 tons of cheese worth $1.8 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

This is 29% less in value and 5% less in quantity than in the same period last year.

During the mentioned period, Azerbaijan purchased 348.2 tons of cheese (+2.2 times) from Iran for $587,200 (+80%), 35.7 tons (+9%) from Belarus for $197,200 (+12%), 29.3 tons (-12%) from Ukraine for $176,200 (+6%), 29.5 tons (-3%) from Germany for $169,000 (-3%), and 31.2 tons (-76%) from Lithuania for $157,000 (-76%).
