Azerbaijan, Japan discuss development of economic cooperation

The delegation headed by Yoshihisa Suzuki, co-chairman of the State Commission for Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan, chairman of the Japan-Azerbaijan Economic Committee, and deputy chairman of ITOCHU Corporation, visited the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, Report informs.

According to the ministry, during the meeting the sides stressed the importance attached to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Japan, the expansion of economic cooperation, and emphasized the significance of strengthening the trade partnership. They also stressed the great opportunities for the development of cooperation in industry, digital economy and application of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, tourism, renewable energy, etc.

The parties discussed economy, increasing trade and investments, strengthening the contract-legal base, cooperation in the field of green energy, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
