Azerbaijan among three main destinations of Iranian exports

A total of 123,000 tons of commodities worth $136 million were exported from Ardabil Province's Bileh Savar border crossing during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20-Dec. 20, 2020), showing a 30% increase in value compared with the similar period of last year.

Report informs, citing Iranian media, that the exports mainly included potatoes, glass, tiles and ceramics, plastic and metal products.

Russia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan were the main destinations.

Bileh Savar, bordering Azerbaijan and located in the north of Ardabil, is the province's only border terminal.

In 2020, Azerbaijan's exports to Iran dropped more than 6.2 times compared to 2019 and amounted to $1,349,000 dollars, while imports plunged more than threefold to $24,052,000.
