A meeting between the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) discussed Baku's interest in Spanish technological solutions and technology transfer to the country, Report informs, citing AZPROMO.
AZPROMO Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev spoke about his agency's working trips to Spain last year and the signed documents, noting that the business forum was a follow-up to the aforementioned initiatives. It was noted that Azerbaijan's strategic position and transit opportunities for strengthening trade and investment partnerships open up broad prospects for Spanish companies. In this regard, it was emphasized that the local industry is interested in Spanish technological solutions and technology transfer to the country.
Marta Blanco, CEOE's President for the International Relations Committee, hailed the activities of AZPROMO in increasing contacts between the business circles of the two countries. She shared her views on ensuring the participation of Azerbaijani exporters in exhibitions held in her country in order to expand trade, especially exports from Azerbaijan to Spain.
Inmaculada Riera, CEO of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the opportunities for developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of agriculture, noting that Azerbaijani farms can benefit from Spain's advanced experience in this area.
An agreement was reached at the meeting to exchange information on investment and trade opportunities between the two countries.
