Azerbaijan intends to cooperate with Mexico in field of customs

Azerbaijan hopes that an agreement on mutual administrative assistance and information exchange in customs will be signed with Mexico this year, Safar Mehdiyev, chairman of the State Customs Committee, said at a meeting with Mexican Ambassador to Azerbaijan Rodrigo Labardini.

According to him, the agreement will stimulate the development of relations between the customs services of the two countries and accelerate the integration of the parties.

Touching upon the volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Mexico, the chairman of the Committee said that there are opportunities to further increase the turnover and it is essential to make maximum use of these opportunities.

The ambassador stressed that the Mexican government attaches great significance to cooperation with Azerbaijan. He stressed the special role of customs services in the development of economic and trade relations, noting the importance of their interaction and exchange of experience to deepen collaboration.
