Azerbaijan increases non-oil exports by 44%

In January-November 2021, Azerbaijan's exports amounted to $19,8 billion, and exports in the non-oil sector amounted to $2.4 billion, Report informs, citing the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication (CERAC).

According to the report, compared to the same period last year, the value of exports in the non-oil sector increased by $721,000 or 44%.

In the first 11 months of 2021, the value of exported fruits and vegetables increased by $259,000 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $549,800. During the relevant period, non-oil exports of cotton yarn increased 3.4 times, ferrous metals and their products 2.3 times, chemical products 2.7 times, cotton fiber 70.2%, sugar 29.8%, aluminum, and aluminum products grew 69.3%.

During the normalization process, exports in November amounted to $2.95 billion. The increase in exports in the non-oil sector amounted to 58.7% to $307,200. In November 2021, exports of food products increased by 1.6% compared to the same month last year and totaled $98,900, and non-food exports increased by 2.2 times, amounting to $208.3 million.
