Azerbaijan-Hungary business forum gets underway in Baku

Azerbaijan-Hungary business forum has kicked off in Baku, Report informs.

The event is attended by representatives of both public and private companies.

After the business forum, the 8th meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary will be held, and bilateral cooperation documents will be signed. The co-chair of the commission from the Azerbaijani side is the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev, and the co-chair from the Hungarian side is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó.

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Hungary in 2021 decreased by 9.4% compared to 2020 and amounted to $35.161 million. Azerbaijan's imports from Hungary accounted for $33.368 million of this amount, while Azerbaijan's exports to Hungary reached only $1.793 million.
