Azerbaijan Hazelnut Producers and Exporters Association denounces State Customs Committee

Baku. 30 January. REPORT.AZ/ “Despite decline of prices in global market, it is impossible to reduce cost in Azerbaijan”.

Report informs, Chairman of Azerbaijan Hazelnut Producers and Exporters Association (AFIIA) Ismayil Umudov told at the conference dedicated to summary of third year implementation of State Program (2014-2018) on social and economic development of regions.

He accused State Customs Committee (SCC) of forcing entrepreneurs to pay high duty for imported hazelnut: “Price of hazelnut in the market is 7 USD/kg, but SCC induces us to pay 8 USD customs duty for it. After all, world market determines the prices. Despite decline of prices in global market, it is impossible to reduce cost in Azerbaijan”.
