Azerbaijan extends cooperation with GCC countries 

The second Azerbaijan-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) business webinar was held with the organization of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) under the Ministry of Economy, Report informs, citing AZPROMO.

Along with officials, nearly 70 representatives from companies in construction, industry, health and pharmacology, tourism, logistics, textile, and other fields attended the online meeting.

Making an opening speech at the event, Sameer Abdullah Nass, the Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said his country was interested in the development of relations with Azerbaijan, shared opinions about the directions of new economic cooperation.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shahin Abdullayev informed about the development of relations between the two countries and noted that such events have a positive impact on stimulation of business initiatives, an extension of cooperation among the business circles, and establishment of new relations.

Acting head of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev provided information about the Foundation, stressing that political relations between Azerbaijan and Gulf countries create a basis for the development of the economic and trade cooperation.

Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), underlined the growing activity of entrepreneurs, particularly small and medium business facilities between Azerbaijan and the Gulf countries. He invited businessmen from the Gulf countries to an active business in Azerbaijan.
