Azerbaijan exported USD 522M worth of non-oil goods to Russia in eight months

From January through August 2021, Azerbaijan exported non-oil products worth USD 1.6 billion, 37.6% more compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the Export Review of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication (CERAC).

According to the Export Review, the most exported goods in the non-oil sector during the eight months were cotton yarn (USD 143.8 million), gold (USD 140.1 million), and tomatoes (USD 128.2 million).

The largest importers of Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector are Russia (USD 522.3 million), Turkey (USD 407.3 million), Switzerland (USD 154.9 million), Georgia (USD 109.5 million) and the United States (USD 48 million).

Last month alone, Azerbaijan exported 95.3% more than a year earlier – goods worth USD 230.4 million. The most exported goods during the month were primary form substances formed as a result of polymerization (USD 27.8 million), gold (USD 23.4 million), and urea (USD 11 million).

The largest importers were Russia (USD 54.4 million), Turkey (USD 48 million) and Switzerland (USD 25.5 million).
