Azerbaijan expands cooperation in metrology with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan

A Road Map on the expansion of cooperation between the Azerbaijan Institute of Metrology under the Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control State Service under the Ministry of Economy and the National Metrology Institutes of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan was signed.

Report informs, citing the State Service, that representatives of the Azerbaijan Institute of Metrology visited Astana, and within the framework of the visit, the delegation participated in the international scientific-practical conference "Measurements as the basis of global trust" held in Kazakhstan on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the field of metrology.

Within the framework of the conference, the participating states joined the 34th meeting of the Eurasian Cooperation of National Metrological Institutions (COOMET). The meeting discussed the application of digital solutions, training of experts, cooperation agreements and road maps in the field, strategies and recommendations for the development of the metrology system in the participating countries were proposed.

During the event, Roadmaps on the expansion of cooperation between the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology, Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology, and Azerbaijan Institute of Metrology were signed. According to the documents, cooperation between the parties will be organized in the purchase of a new standard, approval of the type of measuring instruments, preparation of test and calibration methods, effective use of resources in the field of metrology, exchange of knowledge and advanced experience, joint training and other fields.
