In the first two months of 2025, Azerbaijan exported 61,928 tons of methanol, valued at $19.8 million, marking a 25% decline in volume and 26% surge in value year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During this period, Azerbaijan sold methanol to:
- Türkiye: 24,800 tons (+1%) worth $7.85 million (+68%);
- Israel: 10,309 tons (-55%) worth $3.4 million (-22%);
- Italy: 8,241 tons (-56%) worth $2.6 million (-26%);
- Slovenia: 6,111 tons (-1.4%) worth $2 million (+71%);
- Romania: 4,153 tons (-33%) worth $1.35 million (+14%).
In 2025, Azerbaijan exported methanol to Gibraltar (2,131 tons worth $682,000) for the first time in 14 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011.
