In 2024, Azerbaijan imported 19,828 electronic cigarettes and similar personal vaporizers, valued at $419,000, marking a year-on-year increase of 6.2% and 5-fold, respectively, Report informs, citing the country’s the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased electronic cigarettes from:
- Malaysia: 9,700 units worth $371,200;
- China: 10,039 units (-46%) worth $46,700 (-40%);
- The UK: 82 units worth $900;
- The US: 7 units worth $60.
In 2024, these supplies were made from Malaysia, the US, and the UK for the first time in 13 years (publicly available foreign trade statistics date back to 2011).
