In January–March this year, Azerbaijan imported 13.1 tons of berries (including raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, currants, gooseberries, elderberries, blueberries and others) worth $222,300.
According to the State Statistics Committee, cited by Report, this represents a decrease of 0.7% in value and 3.4% in volume compared to the same period in 2025.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 7.2 tons of berries from Peru (+2.4 times year-on-year) worth $122,500 (2.5 times higher than a year earlier), and 2.6 tons from Spain (+36%) worth $44,200 (+33%).
For the first time in recent years, Azerbaijan also imported berries from Egypt - 0.2 tons worth $4,100.
