In the first ten months of this year, imports from Italy to Azerbaijan increased by more than 10% compared to the same period last year, Andrea Maccanico, director of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in Azerbaijan, said at a press conference dedicated to the opening of the IX Italian Cuisine Week in Baku, Report informs.
"Italy is Azerbaijan's main trading partner. Our countries have close relations. Despite some fluctuations related to price changes, Italy continues to be the country where about 40% of all Azerbaijani goods are exported," said Maccanico.
Speaking about Italian Cuisine Week in Baku, Maccanico noted that the event will include dinners with guest chef Andrea Berton from Italy, a culinary show, and a meeting dedicated to Italian and Azerbaijani culture.
During the meeting with local producers, the traditional Italian culture of aperitif and antipasto will be demonstrated.
