The role of auditing is significantly increasing in the context of the developing digital economy, Akan Arystan, executive director of the Chamber of Auditors of Kazakhstan, said at the international conference "The Role of Auditing in Protecting the Interests of the State and Economic Entities" in Baku, Report informs.
According to him, international experience shows that investors primarily prefer transparent and accountable markets with a high level of trust.
"A high-quality audit allows for an objective assessment of a company's financial condition, reduces risks, and improves the quality of corporate governance. Today, auditors not only review financial statements but also evaluate information systems, digital platforms, internal control mechanisms, cybersecurity risks, and risk management processes," Arystan said.
He noted that the development of a reliable business and financial environment is one of the key conditions for attracting investment in the modern economy.
