9,000 legal entities resume activities in Azerbaijan

In 2022, the number of legal entities whose activity was restored in Azerbaijan increased by 23.4% and reached 9,001, Report informs, citing the State Tax Service under the country’s Economy Ministry.

The number of active VAT payers has increased by 24% in the last year.

As of January 1, 2023, there were 1.400,824 taxpayers in Azerbaijan. During the reporting period, the number of commercial institutions increased by 10.5%.
