The number of private construction companies with a sustainability report in Azerbaijan is about 20, Huseyn Huseynov, Head of the Secretariat of the National Coordinating Council for Sustainable Development, Department Head at the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan said at the round table themed “Green Construction in Azerbaijan” held in Baku, Report informs.
Huseynov noted that the private sector should pay more attention to environmental issues: “Previously, only two private companies issued such reports. This number increased after the implementation of an educational event with 50 private construction companies together with the UN representative office in Azerbaijan. Such reports also allow foreign companies to learn about the activities of our private companies and cooperate with them.”
