The solo concert titled “The music of the Silk Road” by Nargiz Aliyarova, the founder of the National Music and Global Culture Society, the famous pianist, and the honored artist of Azerbaijan was held in Washington, Report informs.
The Millennium stage of the world-famous Kennedy Center for the Arts hosted Azerbaijani music.
The sold-out concert program was attended by art lovers from different countries and Azerbaijanis living in the United States.
During the night, the artist talked about the rich music of Azerbaijan and its invaluable contributions to world art.
Aliyarova started her solo concert by performing the Vatan Ballad by composer Faig Sujaddinov. The artist dedicated it to the martyrs who died for the liberation of Azerbaijani lands.
At night, the honored artist played the compositions of composers from three countries located on the historic Silk Road: Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and Iran.
The pianist also performed the works of famous Azerbaijani composers Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, Lala Jafarova, Firangiz Alizada, and Faig Sujaddinov.
American art lovers listened with admiration to the music of Eastern countries.
