Armenia's another betrayal of Russia - habit of leaving friend alone in difficult situation

Armenia and Armenians have always betrayed states, where they take refuge and are under their protection. This is confirmed by what has happened in the last 200 years. Their betrayals of the Ottomans, the Gajars, tsarist Russia, and the USSR are remembered in history.

Armenia is also worried about Russia's military operations in Ukraine. Although they claim that they support Russia in this country, whenever the opportunity arises, official Yerevan is secretly negotiating with the West. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan left for France on March 9 for a working visit. According to the report, he will participate in a forum "Ambitions: Armenia-France" in Paris. During the visit, members of the governments of the two countries will discuss the development and expansion of cooperation in various sectors.

Behind the scenes of Pashinyan’s France visit

Against the background of tensions between the Western bloc, including France, and Russia, it would be naive to unequivocally assess the visit of the Armenian prime minister to Paris. Undoubtedly, this visit will primarily concern the Russian ruling circles. Because Armenia is considered an outpost of Russia in the South Caucasus. France is sharply criticizing Russia's actions in Ukraine. French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian recently said that Ukraine will defeat the Russian army: "The Russian army is behaving in Ukraine as in Aleppo and Grozny. Russia destroyed a significant part of these cities with artillery and aircraft, and thousands of people died.”

Pashinyan’s visit to France, which assesses Russia's activities in Ukraine in this way, can be considered as a continuation of the historical betrayal mission of Armenia and Armenians. The Armenian newspaper Hraparak wrote: "Russia is concerned about Armenia's anti-Russian behavior, as official Yerevan is holding secret talks with Europe and the United States. According to our information, Russian law enforcement agencies are actively monitoring the Armenian media. They are paying special attention to the attitude of the government officials’ to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. In this way, they monitor the official media and prepare a review."

The findings of the monitoring show that anti-Russian propaganda is supported in Armenia. It was stated that the government officials also hold anti-Russian views: “In each such case, it is proposed to punish the perpetrators and take urgent measures. Russia will no longer tolerate Pashinyan’s dual games.”

It was stated that Pashinyan will be asked for an explanation for his behaviour.

Armenia wants to take advantage of the Russia-Ukraine war

Apparently, the mixed behaviour of the Armenian government has caused peculiar protests in the country's media. In the situation created by the Russian-Ukrainian war, Armenia is trying to secure its interests without taking into account its ally Moscow.

The Armenian government has behaved similarly before. Many members of the Pashinyan’s team have made anti-Russian speeches with Western financial support and grants. With this money, these forces made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

Instead of contacting Russia to discuss the situation, Nikol Pashinyan is once again stabbing Russia in the back by visiting France. By the way, he was in a strong anti-Russian position before coming to power. Until April 2018, he opposed the Eurasian Economic Union and the Collective Security Treaty Organization. However, after becoming prime minister, he turned his back on the West and began to praise Moscow's role. After Pashinyan came to power, Armenia helped the head of the Syrian regime, Bashar al-Assad. At that time, the United States criticized Yerevan's move, saying that Armenia was helping the dictator, who was an enemy of his nation.

Let us recall one of his speeches, in which he expresses his love for Russia.

On April 7, 2021, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Nikol Pashinyan said that relations with Russia were and will be a priority for the Armenian government: “Allied relations between Armenia and Russia will develop on the basis of mutual trust and centuries-old friendly relations between our peoples."

Once again, turning its back on Russia, Armenian government officials visit the West. This is what the Armenian government is and the political ideology they have. Hypocrisy, betrayal of the ally, claim to the neighbour's lands, lies, etc. is one of the main features of Armenians. Nikol Pashinyan, as the bearer of this ideology, also shows his true face between the West and Russia. Armenia's failure to comply with the terms of the capitulation act after the defeat in the hands of Azerbaijan is also due to this feature. That is why the world uses Armenian due to the above-mentioned character. Armenia and Armenians are unreliable. They always abandon the ship first.
