World Food Program plans to buy Ukrainian wheat

The World Food Program plans to purchase and ship 30,000 tons of wheat from Ukraine on a UN-chartered vessel, reads a statement by Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the secretary-general, Report informs referring to the UN website.

“In line with the humanitarian spirit of the initiative, the World Food Program (WFP) is also planning to purchase, load and ship an initial 30,000 metric tons of wheat out of Ukraine on a UN-chartered vessel. WFP will have more details in the coming days,” reads the statement.
