The production of 145,000 tons of food wheat in Azerbaijan’s agricultural parks is expected this year, Zamir Dibirov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Economic Zones Development Agency, told a press conference on the results of the agency in 2022, Report informs.
“In 2021-2022, 147,000 hectares of land in agroparks were brought into the crop rotation. 16.4 thousand hectares of them were replanted. The main approach is saving irrigation water and applying modern irrigation systems. Last year, 156,000 tons of wheat were produced in agricultural parks, of which 89,000 tons were food wheat,” Dibirov added.
