Turkish minister: Interest in grain processing is increasing worldwide

Interest in grain processing and technologies used in this field is increasing worldwide, Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakli stated at a conference on "Sustainable Food Security in the Context of Climate Change" held in Baku, Report informs.

"Climate change affects water and soil resources. In this regard, food production is becoming a strategic area for all countries. Recently, events that have negatively impacted food security have occurred. Both the coronavirus pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war have shown how important grain, wheat, and flour production is in terms of food security. Therefore, there is now an increasing interest in grain processing and technologies used in this field," the minister noted.
