Share of Organization of Turkic States in global agriculture announced

Currently, the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has a share of 6.1% in the land areas suitable for agriculture in the world, including 3.9% in cultivated areas, as well as 2.2% in the production of agricultural products, and 2% in the export of agricultural products, Report informs, citing a press conference held by the ministers of agriculture of the OTS member countries in Baku, Report informs.

The participants of the meeting noted that at a time when the countries of the world are facing climate change, water and land resources reduction, high-level urbanization and other problems, the Turkic states should also be ready for these challenges, and by exchanging experience in the direction of applying new technologies and solutions, they should achieve increased productivity and sustainable development.
