Azerbaijan imported 41,640 tons of potatoes worth $10.64 million in the first two months of 2022, respectively, up 7.1% and 13.8% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting period, the country imported 19,408 tons (-18.1 times) of potato worth $4.85 million (-18 times) from Turkiye, 15,135 tons (-59.5%) worth $3.75 million (-58.2%) from Iran, 2.742 tons worth $822,450 from Ukraine, 2,502 tons (+104.7 times) worth $750,600 (+105 times) from Pakistan and 1,853 tons (+5.6 times) worth $463,200 (+5.7 times) from Georgia.
In January-February 2022, Azerbaijan exported 748.43 tons of potatoes worth $367,980, up 5.8% and 38.3% compared to a year earlier.
The country supplied 709.38 tons ($350,440) to Russia, 39.1 tons $17,540 to Belarus.
