The Agriculture Ministry of Azerbaijan is taking measures to create a foot-and-mouth disease-free zone in the country's liberated territories, Deputy Agriculture Minister Sarvan Jafarov said at an international event dedicated to the fight against zoonotic diseases, Report informs.
According to him, vaccinations are carried out in Zangilan, Gubadli and Jabrayil districts and partially cover Lachin, Fuzuli and Khojavand districts.
"All these works are being successfully continued within the framework of cooperation with the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan," he said.
Jafarov emphasized that cooperation with international organizations and relevant state institutions in the preparation of international standards and guidelines for ensuring food safety and animal health is of great importance.
