Mikayil Jabbarov: Azerbaijan monitoring food residues on daily basis

Azerbaijan has mechanisms for continuous monitoring, and on a daily basis, together with business entities and government agents, daily monitoring of warehouse residues of food, flour, granulated sugar and a number of other products is carried out, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said April 12 at a meeting dedicated to the results of the first quarter of 2022 chaired by President Ilham Aliyev, Report informs.

“The second direction is legislative regulation. In this regard, a number of decisions have been made, including the latest resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. Now we are applying the regime to ensure a balance. In other words, the export of products from the country that are not produced in Azerbaijan and on the import on which we are highly dependent, is carried out in a special control regime. At the same time, in order not to reduce the export potential of business entities and not lose export markets, we similarly, within the same framework, regulate activities in connection with products manufactured in the country or with production potential, so that this activity could be carried out accordingly,” he added.
