Azerbaijan plans to increase the number of small and boutique wineries, Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov stated, according to Report's correspondent in Zangilan.
Speaking at a conference on the State Program for the Development of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Production and Processing in Azerbaijan for 2026–2030, the minister mentioned that the current five boutique wineries are expected to grow to 20.
"Investors will receive state support in this direction. Mechanisms will include equipment subsidies, subsidized loan interest rates, and support for establishing technical vineyards," Mammadov said.
He added that subsidies for technical vineyards are a new tool not previously applied: "There is great potential for the development of winemaking in the country, including in the liberated territories," the minister emphasized.
