Azerbaijan's State Program for the Development of Agricultural, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Production and Processing for 2026–2030 is focused on agriculture with high-value-added output, said Khalid Ahadov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan on Socio-Economic issues, said at a regional meeting on the Shirvan-Salyan economic region as part of the State Program.
According to Report, he noted that the program sets specific goals: "The main priorities are expanding cultivated land areas with modern irrigation systems, increasing wheat and cotton yields in specialized regions, developing intensive orchards and greenhouse complexes, expanding cold storage and grain warehouse capacities, improving livestock breeds, boosting poultry, milk, beef, mutton, and egg production, as well as increasing aquaculture output. These goals once again demonstrate that the State Program is aimed at a development model based on high productivity, efficiency, and added value."
