Israeli center: Innovations for agricultural sector shouldn’t harm environment

Innovative technologies, their development and application require a careful approach so as not to have a negative impact on the environment, General Director of the Israeli Frontier Innovation Center David Leon said at the Azerbaijani-Israeli innovation forum on the topic “Agriculture and education”, Report informs.

“When creating innovative technologies, it is necessary to maintain relations with the relevant institutions so that they are harmless to the environment,” Leon said.

He noted that technologies in the field of agriculture are very complicated, so their practical implementation is quite difficult. This is further exacerbated by climate change, he said. All this must be taken into account when creating innovative technologies, he added.

Leon noted that significant investments are allocated in Israel for the development of technologies for agriculture, both at the business level and at the government level.
