The EU Delegation to Azerbaijan and the Hydrometeorological Research Institute of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan will launch a new twinning project in the next two months, EU Delegation Project Manager Rainer Freund told Report.
“This project is especially relevant for agriculture, will improve capacity in the field of hydrogeology, and will help to more accurately forecast weather and climate change. The Institute of Hydrometallurgy will help farmers determine planting times according to expected natural events (e.g. rainfall) by providing products suitable for the agricultural sector. In short, it is a very important project to provide effective services to the economy and people. The project budget is $1.5 million,” Freund said.
