Due to exceeding import limits, the EU has restored previously canceled import duties on Ukrainian sugar and eggs, according to a document published in the official journal of the EU, Report informs.
The duties were introduced on July 2 and will remain in effect until December 31, 2024.
The EU previously extended the free import of goods from Ukraine and Moldova until June 2025, with a number of measures to protect the community's countries.
In particular, a mechanism was introduced to urgently stop the import of goods such as eggs, poultry and sugar if the average indicators for these products as of 2022-2023 are exceeded.
