Erdogan: Ankara determined to continue work within ‘grain deal’

The shipment of agricultural products from the ports of Ukraine made it possible to achieve a relative reduction in the food crisis in the world, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the VIII World Turkic Medical Congress in Istanbul, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

He noted that it was possible to reduce the scale of the food crisis in the world through the shipment of 9.3 million tons of agricultural products from the ports of the Odesa region of Ukraine.

Important steps were taken to resolve the food crisis as part of creation of the ‘grain corridor’ , the head of state noted.

“Even if Russia is cautious about the issue of grain supplies, since similar conditions are not provided for it, we will resolutely make efforts to serve humanity,” the Turkish leader said, commenting on the decision of the Russian side to suspend participation in the implementation of the grain deal.
