Belarus expects to increase the number of joint educational programs with Azerbaijan to train personnel for the agricultural sector, covering areas ranging from fieldwork and food processing to retail trade, Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich said during a business mission of Belarusian exporters to Azerbaijan, Report informs.
The diplomat emphasized that food supplies are a key area of cooperation within the trade and economic relations between the two countries.
"The most important thing is, of course, ensuring food security in our two countries, especially in turbulent times. Exports and imports, including Azerbaijani and Belarusian food supplies, are growing by at least a quarter to both the Belarusian and Azerbaijani markets. The range of food products supplied to both countries is also expanding," Pinevich said.
He noted that this trend is an important indicator of the development of both countries.
"In a few days, we will have a major political event here in Baku, and a high-level delegation from Belarus is planning to visit Karabakh," the ambassador added.
