Azerbaijan, Türkiye explore establishment of processing industry in Karabakh

Azerbaijan and Türkiye have discussed the establishment of a processing industry in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan.

The discussions took place during a bilateral meeting between Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister, Majnun Mammadov, and Turkish Minister of Trade, Omer Bolat.

The parties also exchanged views on the export of products manufactured in Karabakh, as well as the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, and cooperation in the field of agricultural exhibitions held in both countries.

As a part of the recent visit to Türkiye, Mammadov also held a bilateral meeting with Türkiye's Minister of Agriculture, Ibrahim Yumakli.

During the meeting, existing cooperation in the agricultural sector between the two countries and its expansion were discussed. The parties reviewed cooperation with Türkiye in the field of fisheries, transfer of the latest technologies in this field, exchange of experience in reducing the negative impacts of climate change on the agricultural sector, and increasing trade turnover of agricultural and food products.

Mammadov participated in the Agricultural Diplomacy Seminar organized within the framework of the 4th Agriculture and Forestry Council held in Ankara.
