Azerbaijan imported fertilizers, valued at more than $41.45 million in the initial six months of 2024, marking a 13.1-percent rise from the same period of last year, Report informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee.
In addition, Azerbaijan exported fertilizers worth just over $53.02 million in January-June of this year, representing a 63 percent increase year-on-year.
Fertilizer imports accounted for 0.47% of Azerbaijan's total imports, while its exports made up 0.41% of the country's total exports.
Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth just over $21.768 billion in the initial six months of 2024, representing a 16.8% decline year-on-year. Of that, $12.901 billion accounted for exports and just over $8.867 billion fell to imports.
