Azerbaijan resumes organic fertilizer imports from two countries

Azerbaijan 593.34 tons of organic fertilizer worth $1.189 million in January-July 2022, down 33.6% and 12.1%, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

The countries exported organic fertilizer to Azerbaijan in the reporting period:

• Turkiye – 456.98 tons (-56%) for $598,180 (-18%)
• Italy – 29.48 tons (+12%) for $297,160 (+22.7%)
• Spain – 38.01 tons (+91%) for $88,910 (+2.8 times)
• Lithuania – 19.28 tons for $57,120
• The Netherlands – 310 kg (-88%) for $29,830 (+7.5 times)

Azerbaijan resumed importing fertilizer from Canada after four years (1.2 tons for $19,960) and from Germany after a year and ten months (70 kg for $110).

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 2,736 tons of organic fertilizer (+3.1 times) worth $519,840 (+25.3%) to Georgia.
