Azerbaijan imported 75,864 tons of corn worth $24.2 million in 2022.
Report informs, citing the data of the State Statistics Committee that this is 2 times more in value and 2.5 times more in quantitative terms compared to 2021.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 74,204 tons (+2.6 times) of corn from Russia in the amount of $19.7 million (3 times more than a year earlier), 984,000 tons (+43%) from Türkiye in the amount of $1.9 million (-25%), 171.4 tons (+30%) from Serbia in the amount of $839,000 (+41%).
Azerbaijan has resumed corn supplies from Georgia, Chile and Iran.
